You are not alone. I am not alone. People do care. From all walks of life.
Yesterday, Tuesday the 12th of November, a group of individuals came together to film what I hope to be a powerful mental health online campaign for the Christmas period.
Not able to attend the filming myself due to work commitments, I was truly and deeply moved by people’s involvement. Edel, Adam, Niamh and Livy all took time out of their day to participate, on a volunteer basis, to speak passionately on a topic that is clearly dear to their hearts.
One thing they all have in common is : they want to help other people.
Speaking into the camera, isn’t easy. To do so about a topic that is so sensitive and important was equally difficult. For this, I am very very grateful. It shows me that we are not alone. You are not alone. I am not alone. People do care, from all walks of life.
These volunteers quiet literally stood up and spoke up and broke the silence yesterday. Yes, there is still alot of silence around this topic but I believe that this country will be at the forefront of the conversation in the not so distant future. It will take time but bit by bit we will get there.
We are still looking for people who are interested in getting involved in the campaign. Just click the contact page and get in touch.
